Jury Duty Compensation. Each regular, full-time employee of the Police Department shall, if called for Jury Duty, receive their regular compensation during the time spent in the capacity as jurors less the amount paid them by the court of such duty as jurors.

Jury Duty Compensation. When an employee is called for and serves on jury duty, that employee shall, during such service period, receive full regular compensation from the Port, less any compensation received from the court for such service (excluding travel, meals, or other expenses). Port compensation for service on jury duty only applies to absence from regularly scheduled work hours. Employees shall forward their jury duty compensation paid by the court to the Port’s payroll section upon return from jury duty and receipt of the compensation paid by the court. Hours compensated for jury duty service will be paid at the straight time rate.

Jury Duty Compensation. Subject to the following conditions, eligible employees will receive their regular base rate of pay for those hours spent in court, traveling to and from court when such time occurs during employee's regular scheduled work days and hours of work. Court leave will not result in payment of overtime or be considered as hours worked for purposes of determining eligibility for overtime, unless the court leave is related to the employee's job responsibilities. Upon completion of jury/court/witness service for which the employee received his/her regular pay, the employee will forward any compensation received from the court or other party to the District upon receipt. An employee will not receive pay for the work time missed if he/she is required to miss work because of court appearances in a matter to which the employee is a party or to serve as a witness for a party who has filed an action against the District or the employee is subpoenaed to appear on a matter unrelated to employment. However, the employee may choose to use his/her vacation. Sick leave will accumulate at the rate of eight (8) hours per month, with unlimited accrual. A doctor's certificate may be required by the Employer. Employees will be paid for time off for illness up to the limits of time accumulated. Abuses of sick leave may be subject to disciplinary action. Each Employee having unused sick leave on December 1 of each year shall have the opportunity to sell back to the District one-half (1/2) of their unused sick leave balance, up to a maximum of forty-eight hours and shall be compensated at Employee's regular hourly rate for such time. That time so paid shall be deducted from Employee's accumulated sick leave time available. Unused sick leave compensation shall be limited to that time which has accrued in the preceding twelve (12) months. Elimination of the December annual 48-hour sick leave buy back for employees hired after July 1, 2011. Employees who elect to retire after 20 years of service with the District may receive up to 20% of their accrued sick leave hours; adding 2% additional each year to 25 years (30% at 25 years) and 4% additional each year thereafter to a maximum sick leave buyout of 50% of up to 960 hours after 30 years of service. Jury Duty Compensation. The County will pay an employee for the first three (3) days of jury service. Commencing with the fourth day of jury service, the County will pay an employee who serves on a jury the difference between the jury pay and 40 hours pay at straight time. Volunteers will not be paid and provisions must be made for reporting for work on short court sessions or days when the County is working although the Court may not be in session. No payment will be made to any employee who is exempt by law and waives the exemption by failing to claim the exemption or by volunteering to serve.

  • Regulation D Compensation Each Bank may require the Company to pay, contemporaneously with each payment of interest on the Euro-Dollar Loans, additional interest on the related Euro-Dollar Loan of such Bank at a rate per annum determined by such Bank up to but not exceeding the excess of (i) (A) the applicable London Interbank Offered Rate divided by (B) one minus the Euro-Dollar Reserve Percentage over (ii) the applicable London Interbank Offered Rate. Any Bank wishing to require payment of such additional interest (x) shall so notify the Company and the Administrative Agent, in which case such additional interest on the Euro-Dollar Loans of such Bank shall be payable to such Bank at the place indicated in such notice with respect to each Interest Period commencing at least three Euro-Dollar Business Days after the giving of such notice and (y) shall notify the Company at least five Euro-Dollar Business Days prior to each date on which interest is payable on the Euro-Dollar Loans of the amount then due it under this Section.

  • Extra Compensation The Board shall pay no fees, other than described above, to the PA/E unless authorized by the Board as follows: A. If the scope of the Project or site is changed, the Board and the PA/E shall negotiate a reasonable fee based upon the probable estimated construction cost in changing the scope of the work and the approximate percentage of the estimated construction cost which was used to negotiate this Agreement if, and, as such may be applicable. If the DOE or Board requires the PA/E to make major or costly changes to the Schematic, Preliminary or Construction Document Phase submittals, which changes are not caused by architectural or engineering error or oversight, the PA/E shall be paid to redesign for additional expenses in an amount agreed to by the parties.   • Standby Compensation Employees shall be paid the equivalent of one (1) hour's compensation for each normal standby shift, provided such shift is not longer than the employee's normal workday.   • PROFESSIONAL COMPENSATION 11.1 The basic salaries of teachers covered by this Contract shall be set in accordance with the procedures set forth in this Agreement. 11.2 The salary of the teacher will be presumed correct as shown in the Uniform Teacher’s Contract unless the teacher or the Employer furnishes evidence of error. 11.3 An explanation as to how contract salary figures are computed will accompany the first paycheck of each school year. 11.4 Basic salaries for teachers shall be paid in twenty-six (26) payments. Teachers will be notified by the Cash Flow Committee of the Xxxxxxx Teachers’ Federation prior to June 1 in the event the balance on teachers’ contracts due on the first scheduled paycheck in July cannot be paid. 11.5 New teachers will receive one half (½) of their first pay one payroll in advance and the remaining one half (½) on the next pay date. 11.6 Effective January 1, 2009, teacher pay will be issued via direct deposit only. 11.7 The Superintendent may approve additional compensation for individual teachers who have been authorized by the Superintendent to perform additional work assignments. 11.8 Payroll deductions for teachers shall be made as required by law or as mutually agreed to by the parties. Teachers may authorize deductions for tax-sheltered annuities during open enrollment periods of the carrier companies involved. 11.9 Deductions for daily absences not covered by provisions in the Contract shall be made at the same rate as earned. 11.10 Effective January 1, 1993, the Board shall pay directly to the Indiana State Teachers Retirement Fund each teacher’s three percent (3%) contribution to the fund. 11.11 The parties recognize that the salaries which appear on Regular Teacher’s Contracts and Teacher’s Temporary Contracts will be inaccurate whenever a salary increase is approved after these contracts have been executed. At the time of a teacher’s retirement, the Employer will review these contracts and, when necessary, revise the contracts for the five (5) years of service before retirement in which the teacher’s annual compensation was highest so they accurately reflect the sums which the teacher earned in each of those five (5) years. 11.12 The parties recognize that students are entitled to be taught by fully qualified teachers, while at the same time recognizing a professional responsibility to assist in the preparation of student teachers. Therefore, supervision by a teacher of a student teacher shall be voluntary. No teacher should serve as a supervising teacher more than one-half (1/2) of the total teaching time each year. This provision was not bargained and has been included for informational purposes only. Should 11.13 If the Employer determines that any committee should continue its work during the summer, teachers belonging to the committee performing such services shall be paid on the same basis and in the same manner as summer school teachers. If the Employer determines that professional development should occur in the summer, specific teachers invited to participate shall be paid on the same basis as summer school teachers.

  • Full Compensation Subrecipient agrees to accept the specified compensation as set forth in this Contract as full remuneration for performing all services and furnishing all staffing and materials required, for any reasonably unforeseen difficulties which may arise or be encountered in the execution of the services until acceptance, for risks connected with the services, and for performance by the Subrecipient of all its duties and obligations hereunder.
