Language Requirements. An employee who occupies a unilingual position that NAV CANADA designates bilingual by its own action or to meet statutory requirements and who does not meet the second language requirements, or an employee who does not meet a higher second language proficiency standard for the position set by NAV CANADA or through statutory requirements, shall be entitled to reassignment to a position at the same level in the region with relocation expenses. If no position at the same level in the region is available, the employee may elect to accept an assignment in another region with relocation expenses paid for by NAV CANADA or accept the NAV CANADA Departure Incentive Program. The employee shall be considered a vulnerable or surplus employee for purposes of the priority placement provisions in clause 42.03. If the employee is not reassigned or does not accept the NAV CANADA Departure Incentive Program he or she shall be subject to lay-off.

Any tests/interviews taken at the Language Centre in previous academic years will not be considered valid. Registrations for the test must be submitted via email to the following address: xxxxxxxx.xxxxxxxxxxxxx@xxxxx.xx, with the subject "Language Exam for Mobility Call," by 15th February 2024, at 12:00 noon; or b) by submitting an international certificate – to be sent by the deadline of this call to xxxxxxxxxxxxx.xxxxxxxxx@xxxxx.xx – that will need to be evaluated by the Language Centre. In the case of a certification issued by an Italian public institution its attainment must be certified by submitting a self-declaration, in accordance with art. 46 of the Presidential Decree #445 dd. 28 December 2000. For students attending study programmes taught in English only, the B1 proficiency level will be considered as attained and no further language certification will be required. Should these students choose universities where the teaching language is different from English, then the teaching language will need to be certified according to the above points.
