LEAD/ASBESTOS CERTIFICATION Clause Samples
The LEAD/ASBESTOS CERTIFICATION clause requires parties to confirm that any property involved in the agreement complies with applicable laws regarding the presence and handling of lead-based paint or asbestos-containing materials. Typically, this means the seller or landlord must disclose known information about these hazardous substances and may need to provide documentation or certifications showing compliance with safety regulations. This clause helps ensure that all parties are aware of potential environmental hazards, thereby protecting occupants' health and limiting legal liability for undisclosed risks.
