LEAVE OF ABSENCE WITH OR WITHOUT PAY. 17.8.1 The Board, in its sole discretion, may grant a leave of absence with or without pay to an Employee. 17.8.2 The Employee shall inform his/her immediate supervisor in writing, of the intention to return or resign, six (6) months prior to the expiry of the leave. 17.8.3 The Employee may elect to pay one hundred percent (100%) of all normal benefits premiums during a Leave of Absence without pay. 17.8.4 An Employee granted a leave of absence with or without pay shall retain his/her position and seniority upon return from the leave.
