Level V Formal – Board of Trustees. 6.3.6.1 The decision of the arbitrator within the limits herein prescribed shall be in the form of a recommendation to the Board of Trustees. The Board shall undertake review of the advisory recommendation at its next regularly scheduled meeting and take formal action accepting or rejecting the advisory recommendations. If a request for review is filed with the Board at least two days before the Board meeting, the Board may permit oral arguments by representatives of the parties, but only in the presence of one another. The Board shall then render a decision on the matter, which shall be final and binding on all parties. If the Board does not render such a decision within thirty (30) days of the board meeting, then it shall be deemed to have adopted the recommendations of the arbitrator. 6.3.6.2 The fees and expenses of the arbitrator shall be borne equally by the district and the CFT/PFA.

  • Board of Trustees The Board of Trustees will be comprised of 9 voting members that include 5 CUPE employee representatives and 4 employer representatives, including the Crown. The Board of Trustees will include among its members 2 independent experts, 1 appointed by the employer representatives and 1 appointed by the employee representatives. The Charter Board shall have final authority and responsibility for the academic, financial, and organizational performance of the School. The Charter Board shall also have authority for and be responsible for policy and operational decisions of the School, although nothing herein shall prevent the Charter Board from delegating decision-making authority for policy and operational decisions to officers, employees and agents of the School, as well as third party management providers.
