Common use of Licensed Sureties and Insurers; Certificates of Insurance Clause in Contracts

Licensed Sureties and Insurers; Certificates of Insurance. 7.9.1 All Bonds and insurance required by the Contract Documents to be purchased and maintained by Owner or Design Builder shall be obtained from surety or insurance companies that are duly licensed or authorized in the jurisdiction in which the Project is located to issue Bonds or insurance policies for the limits and coverage’s so required. Such surety and insurance companies shall also meet such additional requirements and qualifications as may be provided in Article 14. 7.9.2 Design Builder shall deliver to Owner, with copies to each additional insured indicated in Article 14, certificates of insurance (and other evidence of insurance requested by Owner or any other additional insured) which Design/Builder is required to purchase and maintain in accordance with paragraph 7.2.1.
