Litter Collection. 4.3.1 The Grounds team is not responsible for the collection of litter.
Litter Collection. Director has determined the need to efficiently remove litter and prevent it from becoming a community eyesore, decreasing neighborhood property values, posing a safety hazard, providing a breeding ground for disease carrying rodents, insects, and other vermin, and in general, lowering the quality of life for residents. This service is not a Sweep of the entire Service Area but rather an as-needed service. CONTRACTOR shall provide all necessary equipment and temporary Containers including brooms xxxxx, shovels, bags, or Dumpsters to Collect, transport, and Dispose of litter in the following circumstances: • As requested by Director • Upon observation by CONTRACTOR, when requested by Director to provide this service Examples include a pile of Refuse on the sidewalk or an undeveloped portion of land within the Public Right-of-Way. CONTRACTOR shall Collect litter within 48 hours of request by Director and submit before and after photos to Director along with the monthly invoices for County Services. CONTRACTOR may also Collect large piles of Refuse it observes and submit before and after photos. Litter Collection under this section does not include litter already required to be Collected near Bulky Items, alleys, public curbside receptacles, or Homeless Encampment Containers. CONTRACTOR shall use the Director’s Trash Monitoring Program (TMP) smartphone application, or other system as determined by Director, to record information such as the location, brief description, and photograph of Collected Solid Waste.
Litter Collection. In Alleys CONTRACTOR may request a fee equal to the rate per mile of Alleys, Collected during the cleanup of the right-of-way during the month. As-Needed CONTRACTOR may request a fee equal to the number of bags Collected during the cleanup of the right-of-way during the month. Additional CONTRACTOR may request a fee equal to the additional number of bags Collected during the cleanup of the right-of- way during the month.
Litter Collection. During the months of May, June, July and August, an employee of the Parks Branch may have a work week from Wednesday to Sunday inclusive with two (2) consecutive days off. On Saturday and Sunday, (1) the work shall consist of parks litter collection and cleaning duties, (2) the work hours may commence at 9:30 a.m. and (3) the rate of pay shall be at the rate of the Schedule "B" classification of Litter Collector ‐ Parks. Shift differential shall be paid for those hours which attract a premium in accordance with Article 4.7. PARK RANGER: Employees in these positions covered by these classes may work any five (5) days of the seven (7) days per week with two (2) consecutive days off. The daily eight (8) hours of work will be worked between the period of 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Litter Collection. The Council empties all litter bins at least once a day, and in busier areas two or three times a day. Bins are emptied by the different teams. Snow clearance and gritting will be undertaken in defined areas of the City The Council aims to remove fly tipped item from Council owned land within 5 working days or within 1 day where the offence causes an obstruction or is considered dangerous and abandoned vehicles within 48 hours (following the issuing of a seven-day removal notice) subject to a DVLA check. On areas of agreed green open space within Coventry BID Area the Council will maintain the grass on a 10 working day cycle with the cuttings collected. All other owned sites will be maintained on a 20 working day cycle. The Council has powers to issue Fixed Penalty Notices of £75 for minor acts of littering, including dumped rubbish, fly-posting and dog fouling. The Council also has powers to prosecute those people and companies who cause more serious graffiti and littering offences, with maximum fines of up to £1,000.

1. Basic annual working hours shall be calculated as 260.89 x daily working hours as per the 5-day week; e.g., 260.89 x 7 = 1826¼, or 260.89 x 7.5 = 1956.675.
2. Basic annual public holiday hours shall be calculated as 11 x daily hours as per the 5-day week; e.g., 11 x 7 = 77, or 11 x 7.5 = 82.5.
3. Account shall be taken of the difference in basic annual rest period allowances; e.g., 52.178 weeks x 5 days x 20 minutes (=86.96 hours) in the case of the standard 5-day week; 52.178 x 4 x 20 minutes (=69.57 hours) in the case of the 4-day week; and 52.178 x 4.5 x 20 minutes (=78.27 hours) in the case of the 9-day fortnight.
4. Employees shall have at least two of their days off in any week consecutive, and such days off shall for purposes of Overtime pay be deemed to be the "first scheduled rest day". Pay for any work on the third day off in any week shall be in accordance with the normal daily overtime rates.
5. For the purposes of Overtime pay on scheduled working days normal daily working hours and the normal work week shall be considered to be those lengths of time established by the parties pursuant to paragraph 8 herein.
6. Annual Vacation entitlement and all credits for Deferred Vacation, Sick Leave benefits and Gratuity benefits shall be converted from working days to working hours by multiplying the number of days to an employee's credit by the daily working hours as per the previous 5-day week. All deductions or debits shall be made on the basis that each working day of absence shall be measured as the length of time established by the parties pursuant to paragraph 8 herein.

Litter Collection. Litter shall be collected by Contractor prior to each mowing. This includes but not limited to turf, sidewalks, parking lots, and along fence lines. Limbs piled up next to trees will not be acceptable. All must be removed from site at each mowing. The Contractor, as part of this Contract, shall remove from site and properly dispose of all litter collected.
