LOCAL VENDOR PREFERENCE. A copy of City’s Local Preference Policy, Ordinance No. 5912 dated January 3, 2022 is attached. A Local Business shall be defined as a vendor, supplier or contractor that: (i) conducts business within the jurisdictional limits of Lakeland Electric’s service territory by providing goods, services or construction; (ii) maintains a physical business location within the jurisdictional limits of Lakeland Electric’s service territory in an area legally zoned for conducting such business; (iii) conducts business on a daily basis from the local business location; (iv) has conducted business from such location for at least twelve (12) consecutive months prior to the due date for the applicable bid or proposal; and (v) provides a copy of its local business tax receipt, if located within the City of Lakeland, or a copy of its Polk County local business tax receipt, if located outside of the City limits but within Lakeland Electric’s service territory.
LOCAL VENDOR PREFERENCE. Napa County has a local vendor preference that covers the acquisition of requested services. Local vendors will be awarded contracts for services where qualifications are determined by the reviewing panel to be otherwise equal, unless such preference is not allowable by law. For this matter, a local vendor is a vendor who has a billing address located within Napa County. Where appropriate, out of county vendors are encouraged to subcontract with qualified local vendors.
LOCAL VENDOR PREFERENCE. If claiming Local Vendor Preference, a valid Local Business Tax Receipt must be provided at the time the response is submitted in order to qualify for such consideration.
LOCAL VENDOR PREFERENCE. The Local Vendor Preference policy shall only be applied to projects of one-hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) or less and only when the lowest local qualified bidder is within 10% or $10,000, whichever is less of the lowest non-local bidders.
LOCAL VENDOR PREFERENCE. 33.1 The Procurement Management Department will adhere to the Lee County Ordinance No. 22-06 and as may be amended from time to time (the County's "Local Vendor Preference"). It shall be at the discretion of the County Manager or Designee whether to apply Local Vendor Preference to any particular Solicitation.
33.2 The County's Local Vendor Preference, as it relates to Bidding preferences for local Vendors, is not applicable to Solicitations or Contracts when Commodities and/or Services may be provided in the event of an Emergency.
33.3 The County's Local Vendor Preference shall not apply in any procurement for Commodities or Services if the use of the Local Vendor Preference is prohibited by the terms of a grant or funding agreement or other prevailing law or policy.
LOCAL VENDOR PREFERENCE. If claiming Local Vendor Preference, a valid Local Business Tax Receipt must be provided at the time the response is submitted in order to qualify for such consideration. Lakeland Electric, owned by The City of Lakeland (Lakeland), a Florida municipal corporation, is accepting bid proposals for Emergency Tree Trimming services, personnel and equipment from qualified vendors for deployment before, during and/or after emergency/disaster events. This work force will supplement Lakeland’s current line clearance contractor.
LOCAL VENDOR PREFERENCE. The Procurement Management Department will adhere to the Lee County Ordinance No. 22-06 and as may be amended from time to time (the County's "Local Vendor Preference"). It shall be at the discretion of the County Manager or Designee whether to apply Local Vendor Preference to any particular Solicitation.
LOCAL VENDOR PREFERENCE. PPE shall make a good faith effort to utilize local contractors and suppliers for the construction and future operations of the Project and shall afford such opportunities to local vendors when such contractors and suppliers are properly qualified and price competitive. Such efforts shall include actively soliciting bids from City vendors through local advertisements, coordination with the City Chamber of Commerce and such other reasonable measures as the City may from time to time request. PPE also agrees to make reasonable efforts to utilize women-owned and minority-owned vendors within the City.
LOCAL VENDOR PREFERENCE. SCTC shall make good faith, commercially reasonable efforts to utilize the services of local vendors for all work connected with this Agreement, including but not limited to the design, permitting, construction and landscaping as may be necessary to implement the re-development authorized by this Agreement on the Mall Tract. SCTC agrees to post notices of all job or project opportunities that have an estimated value of $20,000.00 or more within the Mall Tract in a conspicuous location at the Hilton Head Island Town Hall, and to review all applications of Hilton Head Island located applicants to include Hilton Head based contractors and businesses.

DEVELOPER shall make good faith, commercially reasonable efforts to utilize the services of local vendors for all work connected with this Amended and Restated Development Agreement, including but not limited to the design, permitting, construction, and landscaping as may be necessary to implement the re-development authorized by this Amended and Restated Development Agreement on the Mall Tract. DEVELOPER agrees to post notices of all job or project opportunities that have an estimated value of $20,000.00 or more within the Mall Tract in a conspicuous location at the Hilton Head Island Town Hall, and to review all applications of Hilton Head Island located applicants to include Hilton Head based contractors and businesses.
