Long Term Occasional Teacher. A Long Term Occasional Teacher shall be placed on the elementary teacher local salary grid in accordance with the recognized teaching experience and category placement effective on the tenth (10th) consecutive day of teaching retroactive to the first day that the assignment began. The Occasional Teacher shall continue to be paid at this rate until the expiration of the assignment. The rate paid under L9.1 (b) shall not be less than the rate paid under L9.1 (a). It is understood that this daily rate of payment includes payment for vacation pay and any statutory holidays (under the Employment Standards Act) if applicable.
Long Term Occasional Teacher. A long-term Occasional Teacher shall mean a teacher employed by the Board to teach for a period of ten (10) or more consecutive teaching days as a replacement for the same teacher.
Long Term Occasional Teacher. A Long Term Occasional Teacher shall be placed on the Teachers’ salary grid with the recognized experience and category placement effective on the tenth (10th) consecutive day of teaching retroactive to the first (1st) day that the assignment began, regardless of whether the assignment is full or part time. The Occasional Teacher shall be paid at this rate until the expiration of the assignment.
Long Term Occasional Teacher. A Long Term Occasional Teacher shall be placed on the Board’s salary grid for Elementary Teachers in accordance with the recognized teaching experience and category placement effective on the twelfth (12th) consecutive day of teaching retroactive to the first (1st) day that the assignment began. The Occasional Teacher shall continue to be paid at this rate until the expiration of the assignment. The rate paid under 17:01(b) shall not be less than the rate paid under 17:01(a). Where the Senior Administrator of Human Resources, or designate is aware, in advance, that the assignment will be long term, the teacher shall commence grid placement on the first (1st) day of the assignment.
Long Term Occasional Teacher. A long term occasional teacher shall be paid on the Board’s salary grid for elementary teachers in accordance with the recognized teaching experience and category placement effective after ten (10) consecutive days of teaching retroactive to the first (1st) day that the assignment began. Related teaching experience will include the following: • Must be a current member, in good standing, with the Ontario College of Teachers; • Only experience gained as a qualified teacher will be accepted; and • Experience must be in public elementary or secondary schools or equivalent
Long Term Occasional Teacher. Leave with pay shall be granted in any case where, because of exposure to a communicable disease, a Long Term Occasional teacher is quarantined or otherwise prevented by order of the Medical Officer of Health or designate from attending to his/her duties.
Long Term Occasional Teacher. Where an Occasional Teacher is on a Long Term Occasional Teaching assignment and has been suspended with pay during an investigation (ie. Children’s Aid Society), the member will continue to receive pay until the investigation is completed, or the end date of the Long Term Occasional contract has been reached.
Long Term Occasional Teacher. A Long Term Occasional Teacher shall be paid per diem rate equal to 1/194 of the yearly salary as determined by the grid of the Elementary Teachers’ Collective Agreement for teachers of the same qualifications and experience effective on the eleventh (11) consecutive day of teaching, retroactive to the first day of the long term teaching assignment. The per diem rate paid shall not be less than the per diem rate paid to a Casual Occasional Teacher.
Long Term Occasional Teacher. A Long Term Occasional Teacher shall be placed on the Ontario North East elementary salary grid in accordance with the recognized teaching experience and category placement effective on the tenth (10th) consecutive day of teaching, retroactive to the first day that the assignment began. The Occasional Teacher shall continue to be paid at this rate until the expiration of the assignment. The rate paid under 11.01(b) shall not be less than the rate paid under 11.01(a).
Long Term Occasional Teacher. An Occasional Teacher employed to teach for a period of ten (10) or more consecutive teaching days as a substitute for the same Teacher shall be paid, effective the Occasional Teacher’s tenth (10th) day and retroactive to the first (1st) day of the assignment, a per diem rate which includes vacation pay and statutory holiday pay, in accordance with the applicable salary rate of the salary grid(s) for Secondary Teachers in effect during the assignment. It shall not be considered an interruption in service if on-calls are used to replace an absent Teacher. The applicable salary rate will be in accordance with the Recognized Teaching Experience and Category Classification set forth in Articles 7.6, 7.7, and 7.8 respectively. The per diem rate shall be 1/194 of the applicable salary rate.
