Maximum Shift Sequence. 14.3.1. No more than seven consecutive shifts shall be worked by an employee unless followed by a break of at least 24 hours. 14.3.2. Where a 24 hour break cannot be provided after an employee has worked seven consecutive shifts because of the operational needs of the employer the eighth and subsequent shift shall be paid at the Overtime Rate until a 24 hour break is provided.
