Common use of Meal Periods (Work Week Group Clause in Contracts

Meal Periods (Work Week Group. 2 – WWG2) A. Except for employees on a straight eight (8) hour shift, full-time employees shall normally be allowed a meal period of not less than thirty (30) minutes or not more than sixty (60) minutes which shall be scheduled near the middle of the work shift. Meal periods taken shall not be counted as part of total hours worked. B. Employees working more than five (5) hours per day, but less than eight (8) hours per day shall be entitled to a meal period of at least thirty (30) minutes. Meal periods shall not be counted as part of total hours worked.
