Common use of Medicare Enrollment Area Clause in Contracts

Medicare Enrollment Area. The area approved by HCFA and the State regulatory agency as the area in which HMO may market and enroll Medicare HMO and Medicare POS Members. At any given time during the term of this Agreement, the Medicare Enrollment Area consists of the list of zip codes currently approved by HCFA and/or the State regulatory agency as the Medicare Enrollment Area. (This is not the area for which PPG shall be responsible for “in-area” services.)
