Meetings/Training. The pay rate for management-called meetings, defensive driver training, and any recertification training shall be at the regular rate of pay. Employees shall be paid for attendance at such meetings and training. Annually, in addition to the State-required in- service, the District shall provide at least twenty (20) hours of such. Of the twenty hours, ten (10) hours will be mandatory training and ten (10) hours will be optional training. A joint SEIU/BSD committee will be formed to select appropriate topics for training, solicit trainers for the chosen topics, and schedule the trainings. The District may provide the training during the variety of times, such as mid-days, before and after work, and on in-service days. One hour of mandatory training will be required in August, December and June to explain the bid process. The District agrees it is beneficial to provide job related meetings/trainings on non- student days and will schedule at least one meeting/training class on a non-student day each school year when possible. Time spent in meetings and training shall not be considered as time worked for the purpose of computing overtime if all of the following conditions are met: 1) attendance occurs outside of the employee’s regular working hours; 2) attendance is voluntary; 3) the course, lecture or meeting is not directly related to the employee’s job; and 4) the employee does not perform any productive work during such attendance. Meetings/training scheduled by management will be considered mandatory and all drivers will be required to attend unless excused by the director of transportation.

Meetings/Training. On an annual basis the Fleet Maintenance Supervisor and the Shop Xxxxxxx will meet with the department to discuss training needs and interests and then develop a training schedule, as needed, based on that input. As soon as possible after the beginning of the student year, the District shall post a schedule of mandatory in-service training dates.
Meetings/Training. 33.1 Consistent with the requirements of the Employment Relations Xxx 0000, employees shall be entitled to up to four hours paid time to attend at least two union meetings during each calendar year. The employer must be consulted regarding any request for such a meeting so that arrangements are mutually agreed in respect of date, place and time of such meeting. Payment will only be made on proof of attendance. Sufficient employees, as determined by the employer, will remain at work so that the employer's business is maintained during any meeting. 33.2 The union representative will be able to attend such meetings referred to in Clause 33.1, subject to the provisions of Clause 36.1. 33.3 Where required, employees shall attend meetings/training called by the employer. Attendance at such meetings/training shall be paid at the hourly rate specified in Clause 14.2. Time at meetings/training shall not count as time worked for the purposes of calculating the ordinary hours of work nor count in the calculation for overtime. Alternatively the employer and the employee may agree for the employee to take paid time off in lieu at a mutually convenient time instead of receiving payment for attendance at meetings/training. Meetings/training held under this sub-clause shall be identified as such prior to commencement. 33.4 Employees are entitled to employment relations education leave pursuant to the Employment Relations Xxx 0000.

Meetings/Training. (a) Contractor agrees to attend specified meetings, staffings, and/or training programs. The Contractor will be notified by the agency of such meeting or training program fifteen (15) days prior to the date of the meeting or training program. The Contractor will be notified by the Agency of any staffing fifteen (15) days prior to the date of the staffing. (b) Contractor agrees to meet staff training requirements as identified by the DADS Texas Home Living Waiver Respite/Community Support Services standards and the Agency Program Compliance Department. A current list of training requirements may be obtained from the Agency Program Compliance Department Director. This training may be acquired through the Agency Staff Development Department or through another source offering such training. If training is obtained from a source other than the Agency, an outline of that training must be submitted in writing to the Agency Staff Development Department for review and approval. Proof of all required training shall be submitted to the Agency within sixty (60) calendar days of contract start date. (c) Contractor agrees that Contractor-incurred travel costs for staff training purposes will not be reimbursed by the Agency.

  • Required Meetings or Hearings Whenever any employee is required to appear before the Superintendent or his designee, Board or any committee, member, representative or agent thereof concerning any matter which could adversely affect the continuation of that employee in his office, position, or employment or the salary of any increments pertaining thereto, then he shall be given prior written notice of the reasons for such meetings or interview and shall be entitled to have a representative of the Association present to advise him and represent him during such meetings or interview.

  • Meetings Meetings of the Trustees shall be held from time to time upon the call of the Chairman, if any, or the President or any two Trustees. With respect to actions of the Trustees and any committee of the Trustees, Trustees who are Interested Persons in any action to be taken may be counted for quorum purposes under this Section and shall be entitled to vote to the extent not prohibited by the 1940 Act. All or any one or more Trustees may participate in a meeting of the Trustees or any committee thereof by means of a conference telephone or similar communications equipment by means of which all persons participating in the meeting can hear each other; participation in a meeting pursuant to any such communications system shall constitute presence in person at such meeting.

  • Faculty Meetings Principals shall have the authority to schedule necessary faculty meetings; however, such meetings shall be as brief and well planned as possible. Such meetings shall be used for purposes that cannot be accomplished effectively through other means. If more than one faculty meeting is held in a month, the purpose of the meeting shall be announced to the faculty in advance.
