MEMBER WORK YEAR. The school work year for employees shall be within the confines of the school calendar and shall not exceed one hundred ninety days, not to exceed one hundred eighty days when students are in attendance with the exception of the Josephine County Juvenile Detention Education Program (JDEP) and New Bridge High School staff. (see Appendix D & E). If the State mandates additional student contact days and/or if the district has increased funding allowing for more contract days, the parties agree to enter into negotiations under ORS 243.698. The calendar will include the following and shall not be changed except in the event of emergency: A. Inservice/Clerical/Conference Days: 1. Inservice/Clerical: a. Three (3) Inservice and two (2) Clerical days (clerical days in no less than half day increments) at the beginning of the school year. b. One and a half (1.5) Clerical days for Elementary members on a semester calendar at the end of the first semester for the primary purpose of grading. The full
MEMBER WORK YEAR. The school work year for members shall be within the confines of the school calendar and shall not exceed 188 days for school work years 2008-09 and 2009-10 and 189 days for school work years 2010-11 through 2012-13. A minimum of six days in each school work year 2008-09 and 2009-10 and seven days in school work years 2010-11 through 2012-13 will be for teacher in-service, including one in-service day for the purpose of room preparation preceding the opening of school.

  • Work Year The full-time work year for all employees employed in EA and ECE job classes shall be a minimum of 194 work days to correspond with the school year calendar.

  • EMPLOYEE WORK YEAR 9.1 The work year shall be as follows:

  • Summer Work a. This section shall apply only to those employees hired to fill temporary summer positions. b. The District will provide the Association with a list of expected summer work job openings prior to the last day of school. Summer positions shall be included on the District’s website. c. The District shall not fill summer positions with outside employees until bargaining unit members have had at least three (3) working days to submit applications.

  • Work Period The normal work period shall consist of forty (40) hours of work within a seven (7) day period or eighty (80) hours of work within a fourteen (14) day period.

  • Construction Period During the construction period, Redeveloper agrees to keep the construction area, including completed operations insured against loss or damage by fire, and such other risks, casualties, and hazards as are customarily covered by builders’ risk or extended coverage policies in an amount not less than the replacement value but allowing for reasonable coinsurance clauses and deductibles. In the event of any insured damage or destruction, Redeveloper agrees to use its good faith efforts to commence restoration of the Private Improvements to its prior condition within nine (9) months from the date of the damage or destruction, and shall diligently pursue the same to completion.

  • Length of Work Year 1. The length of the work year for custodians, accountants, (excluding school lunch accountant), personnel specialist, maintenance, maintenance helpers, mechanics, purchasing coordinator, county receptionist, warehouse and property records coordinator shall be twelve months. 2. The length of the work year for attendance assistant and bus drivers shall be 188 days. 3. The length of the work year for school food service shall be 194 days.

  • Shift Work Shift work is work not in excess of ordinary hours (ie 38 hours per week), but carried out wholly or partly between the hours of 7.00pm and 7.00am, Monday to Friday. Shift work is work scheduled at least 24 hours prior to the commencement of the shift. Employees required to work shift work will be paid at time and one quarter of the ordinary rate per hour for ordinary hours worked.

  • Regular Work Week The regular work week shall be any five (5) consecutive days, Sunday through Saturday, for a total regular work week of forty (40) working hours, subject to the applicable premiums where provided for in this Agreement. Notwithstanding the above, employees may volunteer to work schedules that fall outside of the regular work week of Sunday through Saturday and may do so, upon approval by the Company, and with no penalty cost to the Company, but with applicable premiums as provided for in this Agreement.

  • Day Work The Company shall structure the Project Working Hours to include one (1) half-hour rest break to be taken without deduction of pay by Employees working the Project Working Hours on any day (Monday to Saturday inclusive).

  • Modified Work/Return to Work Programs The Employer and the Union recognize the purpose of modified work/return to work programs, is to provide fair and consistent practices for accommodating nurses who have been ill, injured or permanently disabled, to enable their safe return to work. The parties undertake to provide safe and meaningful employment for all nurses based on the following objectives and principles:
