Military Duty. A written request for a leave of absence without pay shall be granted to any teacher/ancillary staff who shall be inducted or shall be called to active military duty in any branch of the armed forces of the United States. Leave shall terminate upon any voluntary extension of the tour of duty. “Length of employment” or “seniority” shall not accrue during such leave nor shall the period of absence be used in determining step placement on the salary schedule under Section 3.22.
