Mode of Transportation. (1) Official travel shall be accomplished by the method of transportation that is considered most advantageous to the Government when costs and other factors are considered and is authorized on the travel authorization.
(2) If an employee elects to travel by a means of transportation other than the means determined most advantageous to the Government, the employee shall be responsible for any additional expenses.
(3) Use of a contract carrier is mandatory by regulations when air travel is authorized, unless one of the regulatory exceptions for using a non-contract carrier is met.
(4) Travelers must comply with all requirements listed in the HUD Travel Guidance for Using Non- Contract Carriers dated 2010. Travelers will be authorized to purchase Non-Contract flights as long as the cost savings is 25% or at least $150 when compared to the government/Contract Carrier fare. Approval for Non-Contract flights must still be approved from within the program office. The HUD form 2501 Non-Contract Carrier Justification must be completed and approved prior to any authorizations being created in the current travel system. A response to the request shall be provided within sufficient time to provide the cost benefit but no longer than five (5) days from submission. All reservations for Non-Contract flights must be reserved through the current travel system.
(5) Employees must request approval to purchase discounted fares from other sources when contract or non-contract fares are not available in the current travel system. If a traveler finds a discounted fare that is cheaper than the government fare, the employee must obtain authorization prior to purchasing a non-refundable fare.
(6) Further, the Department shall not be responsible for any penalties imposed by non-contract carriers if the trip is canceled for personal reasons.
Mode of Transportation. Team travel greater than two hundred and fifty (250) miles shall be by air on regular commercial carriers, when reasonably practical. The determination of whether a trip exceeds 250 miles shall be measured by the distance between airports of the two cities. When traveling by air on commercial flights, Teams shall use reasonable efforts to fly without connecting flights, and shall make reasonable efforts to ensure that all Player seats on such flights are aisle or window seats. Airline mileage points/awards shall be available to Players for their travel on commercial airlines. There shall be no obligation by MLS and/or a Team to provide chartered air transportation. MLS shall continue its policy of allowing Teams to provide chartered air transportation for four legs of flights per year, and nothing in the CBA shall prohibit MLS, in its sole and absolute discretion, from providing additional chartered air flights. To facilitate international travel including between the United States and Canada, MLS and/or its Teams shall pay for Global Entry and Nexus travel privileges, and their Canadian equivalent if any, for Players.

Mode of Transportation. Team travel longer than six (6) hours or four hundred (400) miles shall be by air on regular commercial carriers in economy/coach class. A determination of whether a trip exceeds four hundred (400) miles shall be measured by the distance between the point of origin and destination. When traveling by air on commercial flights, Teams shall make reasonable efforts to fly without connecting flights, if available, and shall make reasonable efforts to ensure that all Player seats on such flights are aisle or window seats, if available. In the event that total travel time is less by ground transportation than air travel (e.g., due to connections or layovers), such Team travel may exceed six (6) hours or four hundred (400) miles by ground transportation with the agreement of a PWHLPA representative. For international travel (which shall not include travel between the United States and Canada), Players shall travel in business class. Where travel is by bus, Players shall not be required to carry equipment in the seating areas.
Mode of Transportation. NH is equipped for efficient unloading of railway wagons. It is therefore desired to receive the slabs by rail or by Rhine barge via the Rhine port of Neuf-Brisach. In the latter case, transfer onto platform wagons is carried out in the port of Neuf-Brisach by the Colmar Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Lorries may only be used in an emergency, in case use of wagons is not possible.

2. A Pilot may agree to, but will not be required to, deadhead using his own vehicle. The Pilot will be reimbursed for mileage at a rate mutually agreed to with the Company.
3. A Pilot may be required to deadhead utilizing Company provided ground transportation when such travel is the most reasonable and expeditious means of repositioning the Pilot.
4. The Company will provide insurance for any required Company ground transportation, other than a Pilot’s personal vehicle.
Mode of Transportation. Employees will use the method of transportation administratively authorized on travel orders as most advantageous to the Government. Any additional cost or time resulting from use of a method of transportation will be the employee's responsibility. Travel by privately owned conveyance may be authorized when employees are engaged on official business. Travel by privately owned vehicles will not be directed but may be authorized at the Employer’s discretion. When an employee uses a privately owned conveyance as a matter of personal preference while traveling, reimbursement will be in accordance with applicable regulations and Joint Travel Regulations. Compensatory time gained will not exceed that of which is granted to employee’s traveling by government conveyance.
Mode of Transportation. Party A may make delivery by air, railway, highway or mail with the freight borne by Party B. The risks of the products shall be transferred from Party A to Party B after Party A delivers the products to the carrier or makes delivery by mail.
