Common use of Moral and Religious Objection Clause in Contracts

Moral and Religious Objection. If CONTRACTOR’s Subcontracted Providers elect not to provide coverage of a service covered under the contract because of an objection on moral or religious grounds, the CONTRACTOR shall: 4.9.1. Establish a method for identifying such Providers. 4.9.2. Notify the Department of the Providers that will not provide the service. 4.9.3. Furnish information to the Medicaid Managed Care Member on how to receive the service if a CONTRACTOR’s Subcontracted Providers elect not to provide coverage of a service covered under the contract because of an objection on moral or religious grounds. 4.9.4. Provide notice to potential Medicaid Managed Care Members before and during Enrollment. 4.9.5. Maintain a list of Providers who do not participate in family planning and make that list available to the Department; 4.9.6. Have a process of informing current Medicaid Managed Care Members of Providers who do not provide certain services; 4.9.7. Update the Provider directory on a monthly basis to identify Providers that do not provide a Covered Service due to moral or religious grounds.
