Common use of NO STRIKE/NO LOCKOUT Clause in Contracts

NO STRIKE/NO LOCKOUT. 8:01 The Employer agrees that it will not cause or direct any lock-out of Employees. 8:02 No Employee working under the terms and conditions of this Agreement shall strike during the term of this Agreement. No person, Employee or trade union shall declare, authorize or participate in a strike or other collective action which will stop or interfere with production or counsel a strike or collective action to be effective during its term.

The Union, its officers, agents, representatives and members shall not in any way, directly or indirectly authorize, assist, encourage, participate in or sanction any strike, sympathy strike or other interference with the operations of the Employer or ratify, condone or lend support to any such conduct or action. The Employer agrees that it will not cause or direct any lock-lock out of Employees. 8:02 No Employee working under the terms and conditions of this Agreement shall strike employees during the term of this Agreement. No person, Employee or trade union Nothing contained herein shall declare, authorize or participate preclude the Employer and the Union from obtaining judicial restraint and damages in the event of a strike or other collective action which will stop or interfere with production or counsel a strike or collective action to be effective during its termviolation of this Article.

The Union agrees that during the terms and conditions life of this Agreement shall strike during agreement, no employee will engage in and the term Union will not permit or encourage any strike, slowdown or stoppage of this Agreement. No person, Employee work or trade union shall declare, authorize or participate in a strike or other collective action which will stop or any act intended to interfere with production work or counsel a strike or collective action to be effective during its termwith the Employer's operation. The words "strike" and "lockout" shall have the same meaning as set forth in the Labour Relations Act.
