Non-Continuous Overtime. A Unit Head may direct an Employee to work in excess of 35 hours per week on a non-continuous basis provided the Employee is advised of the additional hours at least 12 hours in advance and given a specific time and date to report. Any hours worked between 35 and 40 hours shall be compensated on a straight time basis. Hours worked beyond 40 hours shall be compensated at time and one-half rates. These additional hours worked are not subject to compensation pursuant to Article IV, Section "4" Emergency Call-back Pay.

  • Employment Deemed Continuous ‌ The service of an employee who is absent from work in accordance with this article shall be considered continuous for the purpose of Articles 18 (Vacation Entitlement) and 25 (Health Care Plans). The Employer shall continue to make payments to Health and Welfare Plans, in the same manner as if the employee were not absent where the employee elects to pay his or her share of the cost of the plans.

  • Continuous Employment For purposes of this Agreement, the continuous employment of the Grantee with the Company or a Subsidiary shall not be deemed to have been interrupted, and the Grantee shall not be deemed to have ceased to be an employee of the Company or Subsidiary, by reason of (a) the transfer of the Grantee’s employment among the Company and its Subsidiaries or (b) an approved leave of absence.

  • SICK LEAVE (Continued 15.8 Sick leave not to exceed forty (40) hours may be utilized by employees for the birth or adoption of the employee’s child or a child regularly residing in the employee’s immediate household. The leave must be consecutive and taken within six (6) months of the birth or adoption.
