Common use of Notification of Transfer Clause in Contracts

Notification of Transfer. (a) Prior to any transfer, the affected employee(s) shall receive a notification of transfer consistent with Section 22.2 of the collective bargaining agreement as to the reason for transfer. (b) Employees shall be given a thirty (30) day notice prior to a transfer taking effect. However, such notice shall not be required in the event of a demonstrated operational need. (c) An employee who alleges a transfer imposes a hardship may submit documentation of the hardship and request a temporary delay of the transfer. For the purpose of this Article, "hardship" is defined as:
