Common use of Officers/Delegates Clause in Contracts

Officers/Delegates. The Union shall designate its officers, delegates and alternate delegates from among employees in the Unit. These officers and delegates shall not be recognized by the Employer until the Union has given the Employer written notice of the selection. Unless otherwise agreed to by the Employer, the investigation of grievances and other Union business shall be conducted only during non-working times, and shall not interfere with the work of other employees.
