ONTARIO POLICE COLLEGE RECRUIT FEES. 24.1 Each recruit hired after January 1, 2003 shall be responsible for payment of his or her own tuition fees payable to the Ontario Police College. 24.2 The Board shall reimburse the recruits mentioned in 24.1 above for the Ontario Police College tuition fees over a period of five years in an amount equal to one-fifth of the tuition fees per year, payable on the anniversary date of the recruit’s hire date. 24.3 The Board shall, if requested in writing, by the recruit, loan the amounts so required to pay the said tuition fees to the recruit interest free. 24.4 In the event that the Board has loaned the recruit the required amount to pay said tuition fees in accordance with 24.3 above, the reimbursement for said loan shall consist of forgiveness of the said fees over a period of five years in an amount equal to one-fifth of the tuition fees per year, on each anniversary date of the recruit’s hire date, provided that the recruit remains a member of the Service.
