Other Casual Leave. The Deputy Head may grant an employee casual leave for other purposes of a special or unusual nature.

If the combined total leave granted in any fiscal year under Articles and exceeds two (2) days, the additional casual leave shall be charged against an employee's sick leave credits.

Employees shall be granted special leave with pay for time lost through quarantine when the employee provides the Employer with a medical certificate to that effect. Advance Of Credits Where an employee has insufficient credits to permit the granting of special leave within the meaning of this Article, leave up to a maximum of five (5) days, may, at the discretion of the Employer be granted, subject to the deduction of such advance leave from any special leave credits subsequently earned. The provisions of this Article do not apply to an employee who is on leave of absence without pay, or under suspension, or laid-off.
