Other Family. In the event of a death of an employee's brother-in-law, sister-in-law, grandparent, great grandparent or great grandchild, such employee will be paid for straight time lost from scheduled work not to exceed one (1) scheduled workday falling between the date of death and the date of the funeral, both inclusive, except in special circumstances.
Other Family. (a) One (1) day of funeral pay shall be granted to attend the funeral of an employee’s xxxxxx mother, xxxxxx father, xxxxxx’s grandparent, aunt, uncle, first cousin, niece, nephew, sister-in-law, brother-in-law, if such funeral occurs on a regular workday and if such employee was scheduled to work that day.
(b) The wife or husband of an employee’s spouse’s sibling shall not be considered to be a sister-in-law or brother-in-law of employee.
(c) Employee shall not be entitled to funeral pay to attend the funeral of a spouse’s aunt, uncle, cousin, niece or nephew. Employee shall be entitled to funeral pay to attend the funeral of a spouse’s grandparent.
(d) Where a special filial relationship exists between the employee and any relative for whom the employee would normally be granted the above one (1) day funeral pay, three (3) days of funeral pay will be granted upon furnishing an affidavit to the Clerk setting forth the facts as to the special relationship.
Other Family. Up to a maximum of three (3) consecutive working days per occurrence shall be granted during the period from the date of death to the employee’s first work day after the funeral for the death of a brother-in-law, sister-in-law, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, or grandparent.
Other Family. In the event of the death of the employee's child-in-law, sibling-in-law, xxxxxx’s sibling, or parent’s sibling’s spouse, the employee will be entitled to bereavement leave, at their regular rate of pay, for one day for the purpose of attending the funeral or memorial service.

Members Upon the death of other family members of an employee, as defined in Section 10.03, such employee shall be entitled to bereavement leave for the three (3) consecutive calendar days which next follow the date of death. be paid at regular rate for such working days that were scheduled for the employee during these five (5) calendar days.

The immediate family shall include: parent, brother, sister, or parent-in-law, grandparent, stepchild, or grandchild. In addition, up to two additional unpaid or two additional days paid from any accrued time the employee has available will be allowed if needed.
Other Family. In the event of the death of a relative outside of the employee’s immediate family, the employee shall be entitled to one (1) day of bereavement leave.
