Overutilization for commercial, recreational scientific, or educational purposes In the late 19th century, LPCs were subject to market hunting (Xxxxxxx and XxXxxxxx 1963). Harvest has been regulated since the turn of the 20th century (Xxxxxxxx 1980). Currently, the LPC is classified as a game species in Kansas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas, although the legal harvest is now closed in New Mexico and Oklahoma. Overutilization through recreational hunting is not considered a main cause of LPC population declines. However, because most remaining LPC populations are now very small and isolated, and because they naturally exhibit a clumped distribution on the landscape, they are likely vulnerable to local extirpations through many mechanisms, including human harvest (Xxxxxxxx 1980, Xxxxxx and Xxxxxxx 1980). One new activity that has the potential to negatively affect individual LPC populations is the growing occurrence of bird watching by the public and guided tours, especially of leks during the breeding season. The site-specific impact of recreational observations of LPCs at leks is currently unknown. However, disturbance effects are likely to be minimal at the population level if disturbance is avoided by observers remaining in vehicles or blinds until LPCs naturally disperse from the lek and observations are confined to a limited number of days and leks. Solitary leks comprised of fewer than ten males are most likely to be affected by repeated recreational disturbance. Research is needed to quantify this potential threat to local populations of LPC (FWS 2008).

Overutilization for commercial, recreational. Scientific or Educational Purposes‌ There are a limited number of researchers that study springsnails, and they are usually sensitive to their rarity and endemism. Consequently, collection for scientific or educational purposes is very limited. The PYTH has been subjected to a limited number of scientific studies and collections intended to determine taxonomy, distribution, and habitat use. Although sampling- without-replacement can reduce population size of spring-dependent invertebrates, including springsnails (Xxxxxxxx and Xxxxxxxx 2007), studies conducted on PYTH have not resulted in the removal of large numbers of springsnails and are not believed to have had any negative effect on the species. The species is not known to be utilized for commercial or recreational purposes. Therefore, this is not known to be a factor threatening the PYTH. Refer to Stressor/Conservation Measure Matrix (Appendix A) for the conservation measures and threat reduction strategy under this CCA.

Human predation on gopher tortoises has occurred throughout the Southeastern U.S. Harvesting of gopher tortoises is now prohibited by all states throughout its range; however, hunters continue to illegally collect gopher tortoise for their meat. For example, the effects of human predation on tortoise populations in longleaf pine-turkey oak habitat in the Florida Panhandle has resulted in a low density of tortoise populations, as compared to higher densities of tortoises found in similar habitat in Peninsular Florida. Although tortoise protection and decreased tortoise populations have reduced human consumption rates, some tortoise populations may still be depleted by sustained human predation.

AIN Selective Carrier Routing will provide <<customer_name>> with the capability of routing operator calls, 0+ and 0- and 0+ NPA (LNPA) 555-1212 directory assistance, 1+411 directory assistance and 611 repair center calls to pre-selected destinations.

  • Synchronisation Commissioning and Commercial Operation 8.1 The Developer shall provide at least forty (40) days advanced preliminary written notice and at least twenty (20) days advanced final written notice to ESCOM of the date on which it intends to synchronize the Power Project to the Grid System.

  • Innovative Scheduling Schedules which are inconsistent with the Collective Agreement provisions may be developed in order to improve quality of working life, support continuity of resident care, ensure adequate staffing resources, and support cost-efficiency. The parties agree that such innovative schedules may be determined locally by the Home and the Union subject to the following principles:

  • Training Program It is agreed that there shall be an Apprenticeship Training Program, the provisions of which are set forth in Exhibit "C", which is attached hereto and forms part of this Agreement.

  • Authorized User Overview and Mini-Bid Process Project Based IT Consulting Services Contracts enable Authorized Users to use a competitive Mini-bid Process to acquire Services on an as-needed basis, for qualified IT Projects. Project Based IT Consulting Services may include, but will not be limited to projects requiring: analysis, data classification, design, development, testing, quality assurance, security and associated training for Information Technology based applications. See section 1.3 Out of Scope Work for a listing of projects expressly excluded from the scope of this Contract. An Authorized User Agreement for Project Based IT Consulting Services will be governed first by the terms and conditions specified in the OGS Centralized Contract and second by terms and conditions added to the Authorized User Statement of Work. Additional terms and conditions shall not conflict with or modify the terms and conditions of the OGS Centralized Contract. NYS Executive Agencies must adhere to all internal processes and approvals including, as required, approval from NYS Office of Information Technology Services. Other Authorized Users must adhere to their own internal processes and approvals. In accordance with Appendix B, section 28, Modification of Contract Terms, an Authorized User may add additional required terms and conditions to this Mini-Bid and resultant Authorized User Agreement only if such terms and conditions (1) are more favorable to the Authorized User and (2) do not conflict with or supersede the OGS Centralized Contract terms and conditions. Examples of additional terms and conditions include: • Expedited delivery timeframe; • Additional incentives, such as discount for expedited payment/Procurement Card use; and • Any additional requirements imposed by the funding source or Federal law.

  • Local Control Center, Metering and Telemetry The NTO shall operate, pursuant to ISO Tariffs, ISO Procedures, Reliability Rules and all other applicable reliability rules, standards and criteria on a twenty-four (24) hour basis, a suitable local control center(s) with all equipment and facilities reasonably required for the ISO to exercise ISO Operational Control over NTO Transmission Facilities Under ISO Operational Control, and for the NTO to fulfill its responsibilities under this Agreement. Operation of the NYS Power System is a cooperative effort coordinated by the ISO control center in conjunction with local control centers and will require the exchange of all reasonably necessary information. The NTO shall provide the ISO with Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (“SCADA”) information on facilities listed in Appendices A-1 and A-2 herein as well as on generation and merchant transmission resources interconnected to the NTO’s transmission facilities pursuant to the ISO OATT. The NTO shall provide metering data for its transmission facilities to the ISO, unless other parties are authorized by the appropriate regulatory authority to provide metering data. The NTO shall collect and submit to the ISO billing quality metering data and any other information for its transmission facilities required by the ISO for billing purposes. The NTO shall provide to the ISO the telemetry and other operating data from generation and merchant transmission resources interconnected to its transmission facilities that the ISO requires for the operation of the NYS Power System. The NTO will establish and maintain a strict code of conduct to prevent such information from reaching any unauthorized person or entity.
