Common use of Pay Benefits Clause in Contracts

Pay Benefits. Those employees who have been assigned by the Fire Chief to stand-by duty shall be entitled to stand-by pay at the rate of one-quarter (1/4) of their base hourly rate for each one (1) hour period of stand-by duty. When an employee is called back to work while on stand-by duty, stand-by pay shall stop and the employee shall be paid at their time and one-half (1½) hourly rate from the time of the page or call.
