Pay on Temporary Assignment, Higher Rated Job. When an employee is assigned by the University for a period of more than four (4) working days to temporarily substitute in or perform the principle duties of a position in a higher salary grade, the employee shall be placed at a rate equal to or greater than one (1) full increment (two percent [2%]) increase in their previous salary range or at the base of the range for the new position, whichever is greater. The employee shall qualify for any pay increments based on length of service in the temporary assignment.

Pay on Temporary Assignment, Higher Rated Job. Whenever an employee is assigned to perform the principle duties of a higher rated position in addition to, or instead of, their regular duties they shall be paid for all such hours worked at five (5) percent over their regular rate or the actual rate of pay for the higher rated position, whichever is greater. Assignment to such higher paid classification shall be by express direction of the employer and where practical to do so such direction will be confirmed in writing.

Where the higher paying position carries a salary range, the employee shall be placed at the base of the range for the new position. The employee shall qualify for any pay increments based on length of service in the temporary assignment. Where the higher paying position is outside the bargaining unit the employee shall be paid at the base of the salary range for that position. The employee shall be deemed to be covered by all provisions of this Collective Agreement, including Article 6 (Check Off of Union Dues) during the period of temporary transfer.

  • Change of Control; Assignment and Subcontracting Except as set forth in this Section 7.5, neither party may assign any of its rights and obligations under this Agreement without the prior written approval of the other party, which approval will not be unreasonably withheld. For purposes of this Section 7.5, a direct or indirect change of control of Registry Operator or any subcontracting arrangement that relates to any Critical Function (as identified in Section 6 of Specification 10) for the TLD (a “Material Subcontracting Arrangement”) shall be deemed an assignment.
