Pay Rate Upon Promotion. An employee who is promoted shall be paid at the step in the new pay range which represents at least a one step increase over the rate of pay received immediately prior to the promotion, provided that such increase does not exceed the maximum step of the new pay range. 22.5.1 Pay Rate Upon Bump Back From Promotion – An employee who bumps back per section 23.2 shall receive the same step in the lower pay range as held before promotion, provided that adjustments shall be made to take into account any step increases which would have occurred had the employee not been promoted.
