Permanent Night Shift. If a night shift, being a period of duty finishing after midnight and at or before 5.30 am, does not rotate or alternate with another shift or day work, then a permanent night shift loading of 30% of the ordinary hourly rate for the appropriate classification will be paid for all hours worked. Provided that where a part-time employee is in receipt of this loading they will not also be entitled to be paid the 15% allowance provided for in sub-clause 25.1.

Permanent Night Shift. An employee who during a period of engagement on shift, works night shift only; or remains on night shift for a longer period than four consecutive weeks; or works on a night shift which does not rotate or alternate with another shift or with day work so as to give such employee at least one third working time off night shift in each shift cycle; shall, during such engagement, period or cycle, be paid at the rate of 30% more than the ordinary rate for all time worked during ordinary hours on such night shifts.
Permanent Night Shift. Subject to the operational requirements of the business, the Company will have the capacity to introduce a permanent night shift. If introduced, the permanent night shift will involve work carried out during the evening and will be conducted between the hours of 5.00pm and 5.00am, subject to seasonal darkness. Time worked will be paid at the rate of 130% based on the employee’s ordinary rate of pay.
Permanent Night Shift. An employee who:  during a period of engagement on shift, works night shift only; or  remains on night shift for a longer period than four consecutive weeks; or  works on a night shift which does not rotate or alternate with another shift or with day work so as to give the employee at least one third of their working time off night shift in each shift cycle, must, during such engagement, period or cycle, be paid 30% extra for all time worked during ordinary working hours on such night shift. The rate at which a shift worker must be paid for work on a weekend or public holiday is:  time and a half on a Saturday;  double time on a Sunday; and  double time and a half on a public holiday. Where shifts commence between 11.00pm and midnight on a Sunday or public holiday, the time so worked before midnight does not entitle the employee to the Sunday or public holiday rate for the shift. However, the time worked by an employee on a shift commencing before midnight on the day proceeding a Sunday or public holiday and extending into the Sunday or public holiday must be regarded as time worked on the Sunday or public holiday. Where shifts fall partly on a holiday, the shift which has the major portion falling on the public holiday must be regarded as the holiday shift.
Permanent Night Shift. An Employee permanently working on any such rostered hours of ordinary duty that finish on the day after commencing duty or commence after midnight and before 5.00 am, shall be paid a shift allowance (Permanent night shift) as set out in Schedule B for any such period of duty. "Permanently working" shall mean working for more than four (4) consecutive weeks.
Permanent Night Shift. (a) Employees who: (i) Work night shift only; (ii) Remain on night shift for more than four consecutive weeks; or (iii) Work on night shift which does not rotate or alternate with another shift or with day work so as to give them at least one third of their working time off night shift in each work cycle, shall be paid an additional amount for such period of engagement, period or cycle as set out in Table 8 of Schedule A of this Agreement, provided that this additional amount is not payable on overtime or any other time which is payable in excess of ordinary rates of pay. (b) the provisions of this subclause shall not apply to Employees who elect to work a pattern of night shifts by agreement with V/Line as a matter of personal preference.
Permanent Night Shift. 23.5.3.1 Permanent Night Shift means any work performed in a roster cycle in which not less than 2/3 of the Employees total ordinary hour shifts include hours worked between the span of hours from 12 midnight and 6.00am on any day of the week irrespective of whether or not the said ordinary hour shift commences before or ends after this specified span of hours.

Permanent Night Shift. An employee who works night shift only or remains on night shift for a longer period than four (4) consecutive weeks, or works on a roster which does not give at least one-third of the employee's working time off night shift in each roster cycle, shall, during such period be paid at 125% of their classification rate for all time worked during ordinary working hours on such night shift. Notwithstanding Clause 18.4, permanent 12 hour nightshifts shall attract penalties in accordance with this clause.

Permanent Night Shift. (1) The parties agree to meet client needs by the application of permanent night shift where necessary. (2) These types of shift rosters will be continuously reviewed during the term of this Agreement to ensure that they continue to meet client requirements and do not adversely affect the health and safety of staff.
