Personal/Family Responsibilities. Leave of Absence for Personal/Family Responsibilities is drawn from an employee’s accumulated sick leave credits for carrying out a personal or a family responsibility where the employee has an obligation or duty and where the employee may be held accountable or answerable in some manner if the obligation is not met. This leave does not apply to purely discretionary personal or family matters. The individual employee’s judgment should be tempered with good faith reasoning and an understanding that if abused the ability to take time off with pay for important personal or family responsibilities may be denied. In order to meet the Employer’s need and patient’s need for effective, efficient Cancer treatment and research programs and services, there needs to be a balance between personal/family responsibilities and service delivery to the patients. Employees should provide reasonable notice when they intend to utilize personal/family leave to minimize the negative effect on service delivery and co- worker workload. Requests for leave of absence for Pressing Necessity and/or Personal/Family Responsibilities shall be made in writing to the employee’s immediate supervisor. Granting leave of absence for Personal/Family Responsibilities is restricted to a portion of the employee’s accumulated sick leave credits due to the Federal Government Employment Insurance Regulations. An employee who maintains a minimum balance of seventy-five (75) sick leave credits may be permitted by the Employer to use up to five (5) sick leave credits each fiscal year (April 1 to March 31) for personal/family responsibilities. An employee who has an accumulation of less than seventy-five (75) sick leave credits may be permitted by the Employer to use up to three (3) sick leave credits each fiscal year (April to March 31) for personal/family responsibilities. The Employer reserves the right to request evidence from the employee that the leave is for personal/family responsibilities. An explanation will be provided to the employee where the Employer denies the employee’s request for leave under this Article. Employees who are denied leave under this Article or who have exceeded their yearly maximum sick leave credits (3 or 5 days) may use EDO’s, vacation, or other leave provisions.

  • Family Responsibility Leave An employee is entitled to up to 5 days of unpaid leave during each employment year to meet responsibilities related to: (a) the care, health or education of a child in the employee’s care; or (b) the care or health of any other member of the employee’s immediate family.

  • City Responsibilities 2.8.1 CITY shall make available to CONSULTANT all technical data that is in CITY'S possession, reasonably required by CONSULTANT relating to the SERVICES. 2.8.2 CITY shall provide access to and make all provisions for CONSULTANT to enter upon public and private lands, to the fullest extent permitted by law, as reasonably required for CONSULTANT to perform the SERVICES. 2.8.3 CITY shall examine all reports, correspondence, and other documents presented by CONSULTANT upon request of CITY, and render, in writing, decisions pertaining thereto within a reasonable time so as not to delay the work of CONSULTANT. 2.8.4 It is expressly understood and agreed that all work done by CONSULTANT shall be subject to inspection and acceptance by CITY and approval of SERVICES shall not forfeit the right of CITY to require correction, and nothing contained herein shall relieve CONSULTANT of the responsibility of the SERVICES required under the terms of this Contract until all SERVICES have been completed and accepted by CITY.

  • University Responsibilities 4.1 The University will provide a room accommodation to The Resident for a period of one academic year or the portion of the academic year remaining when occupancy begins (limited to the subsequent fall and spring semesters) exclusive of the Winter Recess period unless The Resident is assigned to a facility that remains open during this time or is approved to live on-campus during Winter Recess. Services provided by the University begin on the official check-in dates for the specific area and include access to the assigned building and room. 4.2 In accordance with University policy, the University will provide staff that will help facilitate a living experience that complements the academic mission of the University. 4.3 Exclusive of unanticipated weather events and building system failures that may disrupt service and subject to the availability of applicable resources, the University will provide adequate light, heat, electricity, hot water and telecommunication services (limited to video and internet connection) to residents. Student rooms shall be furnished.

  • County Responsibilities 5.1 The COUNTY shall designate a COUNTY staff member to act as COUNTY’s Project Manager. It is agreed to by the parties that the COUNTY’s Project Manager will decide all questions, difficulties, or disputes, of whatever nature, which may arise relative to the interpretation of the plans, construction, prosecution and fulfillment of the Scope of Services, and as to the character, quality, amount and value of any work done, and materials furnished, under or by reason of this Agreement. The COUNTY’s Project Manager may appoint representatives as desired that will be authorized to inspect all work done and all materials furnished. 5.2 The COUNTY shall pay in accordance with the provisions set forth in this Agreement. 5.3 The COUNTY retains the right to inspect all work to verify compliance with the contract documents. Such inspection may extend to all or any part of the work and to the manufacture, preparation or fabrication of the materials to be used.

  • Personal Responsibility The Participant and his/her parent(s) or legal guardian(s) certify that Participant has no physical or mental condition that precludes him/her from participating in the Activities and that he/she is not participating against medical advice.

  • Company Responsibilities In the case of a piggyback registration of Warrant Shares, the Company shall use its best efforts to keep the Holder advised in writing as to the initiation, effectiveness and completion of such registration. At its expense the Company shall: (a) prepare and file a registration statement (and such amendments and supplements thereto) with respect to such Registrable Securities and use its best efforts to cause such registration statement to become and remain effective for a period of 180 days or until the Holder or Holders have completed the distribution described in the registration statement relating thereto, whichever first occurs; (b) furnish such number of copies of a Prospectus in conformity with the requirements of applicable law, and such other documents incident thereto as a Holder from time to time may reasonably request; and (c) use every reasonable effort to register or qualify the Registrable Securities covered by such registration statement under the state Blue Sky laws of such jurisdictions as the Company's Board of Directors may reasonably determine, and do any and all other acts and things which may be necessary under said Blue Sky laws to enable the sellers of the Registrable Securities to consummate the public sale or other disposition of the Registrable Securities owned by them in such jurisdictions, except that the Company shall not for any purpose be required to qualify to do business as a foreign corporation in any jurisdiction wherein the Registrable Securities are so qualified.

  • Leave With Pay for Family-Related Responsibilities (a) For the purpose of this clause, “family” is defined as: (i) spouse (including common law spouse resident with the employee); (ii) children (including xxxxxx children, children of legal or common-law partner and xxxx of the employee); (iii) parents (including step-parents or xxxxxx parents), father-in-law, mother-in-law; (iv) brother, sister, step-brother, step-sister; (v) grandparents and grandchildren of the employee; (vi) any relative, residing in the employee’s household or with whom the employee permanently resides; or (vii) any relative for whom the employee has a duty of care, irrespective of whether they reside with the employee. (b) The total leave with pay which may be granted under this clause shall not exceed thirty-seven decimal five (37.5) hours in a fiscal year. (c) At the request of an employee, leave with pay for family related responsibilities may be granted as follows: (i) to take a dependent family member for medical or dental appointments, or for appointments with school authorities or adoption agencies; the employee who requests a leave pursuant to this clause should make every reasonable effort to schedule these appointments to minimize or preclude his or her absence from work; (ii) for the temporary care of a sick member of the employee's family and to provide the employee with time to make alternate care arrangements where the illness is of a longer duration; (iii) for needs directly related to the birth or adoption of his or her child; (iv) to attend school functions, if the supervisor was notified of the functions as far in advance as possible; (v) to provide for the employee’s child in the case of an unforeseeable closure of the school or daycare facility; (vi) seven decimal five (7.5) hours out of the thirty-seven decimal five (37.5) hours stipulated in paragraph (b) above may be used to attend an appointment with a legal or paralegal representative for non-employment related matters, or with a financial or other professional representative, if the supervisor was notified of the appointment as far in advance as possible.

  • Resident Responsibilities The Resident agrees to pay all fees specified, to observe all rules and regulations of the University of Connecticut and to abide by the Responsibilities of Community Life: The Student Code, this contract and any addendum, as well as other University publications/policies. Residents assume total responsibility for their room/suite/apartment/house and for the behavior and activities which occur within all assigned living areas. Applicants and/or residents cannot exchange money or favors for a room assignment. Failure to fulfill the terms of the above may lead to termination of this contract, removal from on-campus housing, and a community standards process resulting in a sanction, including but not limited to expulsion.

  • Agency Responsibilities Agency is responsible for (a) Agency’s use of Axon Devices; (b) breach of this Agreement or violation of applicable law by Agency or an Agency end user; and (c) a dispute between Agency and a third-party over Agency’s use of Axon Devices.

Determine the daily pricing of the portfolio securities and computation of the net asset value and the net income of Fund in accordance with the Prospectus, resolutions of the Trust’s Board of Trustees, and the procedures set forth in EXHIBIT A: NET ASSET VALUE CALCULATIONS. 8. Keep and maintain the financial accounts and records of the Fund and provide the Trust with certain reports, as needed or requested by the Fund. 9. Provide officers for the Trust as requested by the Trust’s Board of Trustees. 10. Perform fund accounting services for the Fund as set forth in EXHIBIT B: FUND ACCOUNTING FUNCTIONS. 11. Generally assist in all aspects of the operations of the Fund.
