Common use of Pledges/Security Clause in Contracts

Pledges/Security. Notwithstanding any provision of this Agreement or any other Loan Document to the contrary, the Agent and each Lender may at any time pledge or grant a security interest in all or any portion of its rights under this Agreement and the other Loan Documents to secure obligations of the Agent or such Lender, including any pledge or grant to secure obligations to a Federal Reserve Bank; provided, that notwithstanding the foregoing no such Person to whom such pledge or grant is made in favor of shall be permitted to be a Lender hereunder without the prior written consent of the Agent.
