Preference in Vacation. (1) A preference in selection of vacation time shall be determined in each work group on the basis of service seniority by classification within that work group.
(2) An employee shall be entitled to receive his/her vacation in an unbroken period. Employees wishing to split their vacation may exercise service seniority rights in their first choice within each vacation block. Seniority shall prevail in the choice of the subsequent vacation period, but only after all other first vacation periods have been selected.
Preference in Vacation. (a) Vacations shall be granted on the basis of service seniority within a classification series in the work unit.
(b) An employee shall be entitled to receive their vacation in an unbroken period.
(c) Where an employee chooses to break their vacation entitlement, additional selection(s) shall be made only after all other employees concerned have made their initial selection(s). Such additional selections shall be made in order of seniority. Vacations granted and commencing prior to the posting of the schedule shall be by seniority and shall not be considered as a selection under this article.
Preference in Vacation. Preference for vacation periods shall be given to Employees in accordance with the Employee's seniority.
Preference in Vacation. (a) Vacations shall be granted on the basis of service seniority within a classification series in the work units outlined in Appendix 6 - Vacation Units pursuant to Clause 8.5 of this agreement. An employee shall be entitled to their vacation in an unbroken period. Employees wishing to split their vacations shall exercise seniority rights in the choice of their first vacation period. Such seniority shall prevail in the choice of the second vacation period, but only after all other first vacation periods have been selected. Such seniority shall prevail in the choice of subsequent vacation periods in like manner.
(b) All employees' requests for first choice of vacation selection shall be completed by December 1.
(c) All employees' requests for second choice of vacation selection shall be completed by January 1.
(d) All employees' requests for subsequent choices of vacation selection shall be completed by January 31.
(e) All employees must have exercised their seniority rights by the dates specified above. An employee who does not exercise their seniority rights by the specified dates shall not be entitled to exercise them with respect to any vacation time previously selected by an employee with less seniority.
(f) Subject to 6.3(a), the dates provided for in Clauses (b), (c) and (d) above may be altered at the local level by mutual agreement of the parties' designates.
Preference in Vacation. Preference for vacation shall be given to Employees in accordance with the Employee’s seniority. Within each job classification and Employment Status except as outlined in the “Letter of Understanding” in respect to Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.
Preference in Vacation. Vacation shall be granted on the basis of seniority.
Preference in Vacation.
(a) Vacation units, for the purpose of determining preference in vacation, are the same as Layoff and Recall units in Appendix 2 and shall be granted on the basis of service seniority within a classification series. In all cases, regular employees shall have preference over any auxiliary employee in vacation selection.
(b) Employees in the following classifications: Fish and Wildlife Assistant Forest Technician Laboratory Assistant Park Assistant Science Officer Scientific Technical Officer (Agriculture Officer) Scientific Technical Officer (Forest Technician and Officer) Scientific Technical Officer (Regional Park Staff) Scientific Technical Officer (Environment) shall be entitled to at least three weeks of their vacation in an unbroken period. An employee shall be entitled to take any entitlement in excess of three weeks in a further unbroken period. An employee shall be entitled to take their full vacation entitlement in an unbroken period not less than once every three years.
(c) Employees in the following classifications: Biologist Laboratory/Health Science Officer Planning Officer (including Islands Trust) Policy Analyst - Science Scientific Technical Officer (Park Officer - Headquarters) shall be allowed to take at least four weeks of their vacation entitlement in an unbroken period during the period May 1st to September 30th, inclusive, which shall be defined as the prime-time vacation period. For those employees who have more than four weeks' vacation entitlement, the Employer shall make every reasonable effort to allow such employees to take their complete vacation entitlement during the prime time vacation period if they so desire.
(d) Employees shall exercise their seniority rights for the choice of their first vacation period prior to March 1st. Seniority shall prevail in the choice of the second vacation period, but only after other employees in the unit have selected their first vacation period.
Preference in Vacation. (a) Unless mutually agreed vacation shall be given within each classification by region and department with preference given to the employee with the greatest seniority.
(b) Employees wishing to exercise vacation preference under this article shall indicate such preference in writing on or before April 1st. The Employer shall provide a written decision on this request, based on operational requirements, by April 30th. Following April 1st, where operational requirements permit, any requests for leave will be responded on a first come, first serve basis.
Preference in Vacation.

(b) Vacation schedules will be circulated and posted by April 1 of each year.
(c) An employee who does not exercise their seniority right within two weeks of receiving the vacation schedule shall not be entitled to exercise those rights in respect to any vacation time previously selected by an employee with less seniority.
(d) Vacation requests that are submitted after April 1 of any year may be granted, subject to the operational requirements of OC. Such requests shall not be unreasonably denied.
