Pregnancy Benefits. Benefits are provided for maternity services, which include prenatal care, prenatal diagnosis of genetic disorders of the fetus by means of diagnostic procedures in case of high-risk pregnancy, outpatient maternity services, involuntary compli- cations of pregnancy, abortion services, and inpatient hospital maternity care including labor, delivery and post-delivery care. Involuntary complications of pregnancy include puer- peral infection, eclampsia, cesarean section delivery, ectopic pregnancy, and toxemia. (Note: See the section on Outpa- tient X-Ray, Pathology, and Laboratory Benefits for infor- mation on coverage of other genetic testing and diagnostic procedures.) No benefits are provided for Services after ter- mination of coverage under this Plan. Note: The Newborns’ and Mothers’ Health Protection Act requires individual and family health plans to provide a min- imum hospital stay for the mother and newborn child of for- ty-eight (48) hours after a normal, vaginal delivery and nine- ty-six (96) hours after a C-section unless the attending physician, in consultation with the mother, determines a shorter hospital length of stay is adequate. If the hospital stay is less than 48 hours after a normal, vagi- nal delivery or less than 96 hours after a C-section, a follow- up visit for the mother and newborn within 48 hours of dis- charge is covered when prescribed by the treating physician. A licensed Health Care Provider whose scope of practice includes postpartum and newborn care shall provide this vis- it. The treating physician, in consultation with the mother, shall determine whether this visit shall occur at home, the contracted facility, or the physician’s office.

Pregnancy Benefits. Benefits shall be payable for each completed week of absence up to a maximum of 26 weeks for any one pregnancy at the actual wage rate of the member immediately prior to such absence.

Pregnancy Benefits. Under STD a pregnant employee disabled from working will be eligible for benefits on the same basis as other disabled employees.

Pregnancy Benefits. If your child is born or adopted after December 31, 2001; you must have worked and paid EI premiums for at least 600 hours in the last 52 weeks, or since the beginning of your last EI claim. You can start collecting maternity benefits up to 8 weeks before you are scheduled to give birth. However, benefits cannot be received later than 17 weeks after the baby is due or born unless the infant is confined to a hospital.

Medical Benefits The Company shall reimburse the Employee for the cost of the Employee's group health, vision and dental plan coverage in effect until the end of the Termination Period. The Employee may use this payment, as well as any other payment made under this Section 6, for such continuation coverage or for any other purpose. Dental Benefits The County offers dental and orthodontic benefits to full and part-time regular employees and their eligible dependent(s). Benefit provisions, co payments and deductibles are outlined in the Evidence of Coverage. The employee contribution is $13 per pay period ($28.26 per month). The County shall contribute to part-time eligible employees on a pro-rated basis, in accordance with Section 10.2.6.
Layoff Benefits All rights to which a certificated employee was entitled at the time of his/her layoff including unused accumulated sick leave and credits toward leave eligibility will be restored to the certificated employee upon his/her return to active employment, and the certificated employee will be placed upon the proper step of the salary schedule for the certificated employee's current position according to the certificated employee's experience and education.
Pregnancy/Birth Allowance (a) A Nurse entitled to pregnancy leave under the provisions of this Agreement, who provides the Employer with proof that she has applied for, and is eligible to receive employment insurance (E.I.) benefits pursuant to Section 22, Employment Insurance Act, S.C. 1996, c.23, shall be paid an allowance in accordance with the Supplementary Employment Benefit (S.E.B.).
