Probationary Employees – Eligibility for Certification. 14.4.1 Probationary Employees shall be eligible for certification in posted competitions for promotion, but not for transfer or demotion. 14.4.2 Notwithstanding Article 14.4.1, initial probationary Employees shall be eligible for certification in posted competitions for promotion after six (6) consecutive months of employment, but not for transfer or demotion. 14.4.3 Temporary Employees shall not be certified in posted competitions.

The form, entitled "Request For Sick Leave Benefits" and physician's statement are required before the SLB Review Committee will consider a request for benefits. The physician's statement shall include a history of the illness, date the illness began, a diagnosis and prognosis, and any other related information. 6. Approval by the Sick Leave Bank Review Committee is required prior to the receiving of benefits. 7. Normal pregnancies, childbirth, childcare, or child adoption shall not be considered as eligible reasons for Sick Leave Bank benefits. 8. A four (4)-member Sick Leave Bank Review Committee, consisting of two (2) members appointed by the President of the Association and two (2) appointed by the Superintendent, shall have the responsibility of receiving requests, verifying the validity of requests and approval or denial of requests. Any approval of a request must have the support of at least three (3) members of the committee Sick Leave Bank Review Committee. The Sick Leave Bank Review Committee shall develop its rules of procedure and shall give wide distribution to said rules upon approval of the President of the Association and the Superintendent.

  • Probationary Employee The term "probationary employee" as used in this Agreement refers to a full-time bargaining unit employee who has received a probationary appointment and is serving a period of probation.

  • Contractor Certification for Contractor Employees Introduction Texas Education Code Chapter 22 requires entities that contract with school districts to provide services to obtain criminal history record information regarding covered employees. Contractors must certify to the district that they have complied. Covered employees with disqualifying criminal histories are prohibited from serving at a school district. Definitions: Covered employees: Employees of a contractor or subcontractor who have or will have continuing duties related to the service to be performed at the District and have or will have direct contact with students. The District will be the final arbiter of what constitutes direct contact with students. Disqualifying criminal history: Any conviction or other criminal history information designated by the District, or one of the following offenses, if at the time of the offense, the victim was under 18 or enrolled in a public school: (a) a felony offense under Title 5, Texas Penal Code; (b) an offense for which a defendant is required to register as a sex offender under Chapter 62, Texas Code of Criminal Procedure; or (c) an equivalent offense under federal law or the laws of another state. I certify that: NONE (Section A) of the employees of Contractor and any subcontractors are covered employees, as defined above. If this box is checked, I further certify that Contractor has taken precautions or imposed conditions to ensure that the employees of Contractor and any subcontractor will not become covered employees. Contractor will maintain these precautions or conditions throughout the time the contracted services are provided. OR SOME (Section B) or all of the employees of Contractor and any subcontractor are covered employees. If this box is checked, I further certify that: (1) Contractor has obtained all required criminal history record information regarding its covered employees. None of the covered employees has a disqualifying criminal history.

  • Employment Eligibility Verification As required by IC § 22-5-1.7, the Contractor swears or affirms under the penalties of perjury that the Contractor does not knowingly employ an unauthorized alien. The Contractor further agrees that: A. The Contractor shall enroll in and verify the work eligibility status of all his/her/its newly hired employees through the E-Verify program as defined in IC § 22-5-1.7-3. The Contractor is not required to participate should the E-Verify program cease to exist. Additionally, the Contractor is not required to participate if the Contractor is self-employed and does not employ any employees. B. The Contractor shall not knowingly employ or contract with an unauthorized alien. The Contractor shall not retain an employee or contract with a person that the Contractor subsequently learns is an unauthorized alien. C. The Contractor shall require his/her/its subcontractors, who perform work under this Contract, to certify to the Contractor that the subcontractor does not knowingly employ or contract with an unauthorized alien and that the subcontractor has enrolled and is participating in the E-Verify program. The Contractor agrees to maintain this certification throughout the duration of the term of a contract with a subcontractor. The State may terminate for default if the Contractor fails to cure a breach of this provision no later than thirty (30) days after being notified by the State.

  • Probationary Employment All employees will initially be engaged on a three month probationary period on a Grade as nominated by the employer with monthly reviews during which time the employee's suitability for continued employment will be assessed. During this period the employer undertakes to provide monthly feedback to the employee in terms of the employee's progress. At the end of this three month period or before at the discretion of the employer should performance not be satisfactory the employee's services will be terminated by giving one (1) days notice. Should the employee choose to resign one (1) weeks notice must be provided to the employer. This period can be extended with the mutual agreement of both the employer and employee prior to completion of the probationary period. Upon satisfactory completion of the probationary period, the employee's position will be confirmed in writing
