PROCEDURE FOR CALCULATING SENIORITY. A. Seniority shall begin to accrue from the first day worked in a bargaining unit position. B. Seniority shall accrue for all time an employee is on active pay status, on a Board approved teaching or studying leave of absence, or is receiving worker’s compensation benefits. C. Time spent on inactive pay status (unpaid leave or layoff) shall not contribute to the accrual of seniority but shall not constitute a break in seniority. D. Full-time employees shall accrue one (1) year of seniority for each year worked as determined by the minimal full time standard. E. Part-time employees shall accrue seniority pro-rated against the minimal full-time standard. Part-time teachers employed on or before July 31, 1991, shall continue to accrue full seniority. F. No employee may accrue more than one (1) year of seniority in any work year.
