Common use of Professional Teaching Personnel Clause in Contracts

Professional Teaching Personnel. It is recognized that teaching is a profession requiring specialized educational qualifications and that the success of the educational program in the District depends upon the maximum utilization of the abilities of teachers who are reasonably well satisfied with the conditions under which their services are rendered. As evidence of their acceptance of the professional rights and responsibilities of teachers, the Association pledges itself to abide by the Code of Ethics of the Teaching Profession. It is further recognized that teachers have the right to join, or not to join, any organization for their professional or economic improvement. Further, any individual or group of teachers may present their view to the Board.
