Project Expenditures. The Grantee shall include an updated milestone/invoicing schedule with invoices completed to date and anticipated milestone completion dates for the duration of the grant. While Commerce does not anticipate requiring more detailed expenditure information as part of quarterly reporting, Grantee shall maintain project fiscal records in alignment with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and in sufficient detail to show that a) grant funding has been spent only on eligible costs as outlined in Attachment D: Sample Application Manual, and b) grant funds have not been comingled with any non-grant (match) funds.

Project Expenditures. Eligible Expenditures of Ontario related to Eligible Projects described in Section 1.1 (Eligible Project Categories) of Schedule H (Unincorporated Areas) in the Unincorporated Areas will be limited to the following: a) the expenditures associated with acquiring, planning, designing, constructing or renovating a tangible capital asset and any related debt financing charges specifically identified with that asset; b) for the capacity building category only, the expenditures related to strengthening the ability of Ontario to improve local and regional planning for Unincorporated Areas, including capital investment plans, integrated community sustainability plans, integrated regional plans, and asset management plans. The expenditures could include developing and implementing: i. studies, strategies, systems, software, third-party assessments, plans, or training related to asset management; and ii. studies, strategies, or plans related to the long-term management of infrastructure. c) expenditures directly associated with joint federal communication activities and with federal project signage.
