Promotion to Professor. (a) Promotion to the rank of Professor shall be based upon both a lengthy and meritorious record of effective teaching and significant scholarly or creative contributions to the Faculty Member’s field. Letters of reference from external referees shall be required. STP Committees shall scrutinize recommendations for promotion to Professor with extreme care to ensure that the requirements have been met.
