Promotional Compensation. A unit member permanently assigned by the Agency to a position compensated at a higher salary range than his/her present range shall be deemed to have been promoted, and shall be placed at a step that corresponds to his preparation, education, and experience for the new position at the appropriate salary range for the position classification to which the unit member has been promoted.
