Rate Retention on Transfers and Bumps. Employees transferred at the request of the Company will continue to receive their own rate or the rate for the new job if it is higher than their rate. Employees who bump into a classification carrying a lower rate of pay than they currently receive because of layoff or reduction in their department will continue to receive their regular rate of pay for a period of three (3) shifts, and then will revert to the lower rate of pay.
