Reasonable Accommodation Leave. The Personnel Director, upon consultation with the employee’s Department Head (or designee), shall have the discretion to grant an extended leave of absence to employees, for their own serious health condition, when all available statutory leave has been exhausted. This leave shall be granted to employees qualified through the interactive accommodation process (IAP), and in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Fair Employment and Housing Act (FEHA) and / or Workers’ Compensation regulations.
