Relationship with Other Agreements. 1. Nothing in this Agreement shall be construed so as to prevent the adoption by the EC Party, the EAC Party or an EAC Partner State of any measures including trade related measures under this Agreement deemed appropriate as provided for under articles 11b, 96 and 97 of the Cotonou Agreement and according to procedures set by these articles. 2. With the exception of development cooperation provisions contained therein, in case of any inconsistency between the provisions of this agreement and the provisions of Title II of Part III of the Cotonou Agreement, the provisions of this agreement shall prevail. 3. The Parties agree that nothing in this agreement requires them or the EAC Partner States to act in a manner inconsistent with their WTO obligations.
