Relieving at a Higher Level. Where any person on any one day is appointed to relieve at a higher level, to which a differential rate fixed by this Agreement is applicable, such person, if employed for more than 4 hours on the level carrying the higher rate, shall be paid in respect of the whole time during which the employee works on that day at the same rate, which shall be at the highest rate fixed by the Agreement in respect of any such work, and if employed for 4 hours or less on the level carrying a higher rate, the employee shall be paid at such highest rate for 4 hours.

Relieving at a Higher Level. RN Where an employee is instructed to perform duties or relieve another employee, for which a higher rate of pay is prescribed in this Agreement, and the duration of relieving work is one week (7 days) or more, the relieving employee will be paid the higher rate for the duration of the relieving duty.

For this payment to be applicable, the person must be assuming all or a majority of the duties normally carried out by the employee being relieved.

  • Staffing Levels To the extent legislative appropriations and PIN authorizations allow, safe staffing levels will be maintained in all institutions where employees have patient, client, inmate or student care responsibilities. In July of each year, the Secretary or Deputy Secretary of each agency will, upon request, meet with the Union, to hear the employees’ views regarding staffing levels.   • Reallocation to a Class with a Higher Salary Range Maximum Upon appointment to the higher class, the employee’s base salary will be increased to a step of the range for the new class that is nearest to five percent (5.0%) higher than the amount of the pre-promotional step, or to the entry step of the new range, whichever is higher.

  • Promotion to a Higher Classification An employee who is promoted to a higher rated classification within the bargaining unit will be placed in the range of the higher rated classification so that he shall receive no less an increase in wage rate than the equivalent of one step in the wage rate of his previous classification (provided that he does not exceed the wage rate of the classification to which he has been promoted).

  • Return to Position Upon return from FMLA leave, the employee shall be returned to the same or equivalent position in the same class and work location, including the same shift or equivalent schedule, unless the University and the employee agree in writing to other conditions and terms under which such leave is to be granted.

  • Characteristics of the level (a) A person employed as a Social and community services employee level 6 will operate under limited direction from senior employees or management and undertake a range of functions for which operational policies, practices and guidelines may need to be developed.
