Reporting/Investigation of Unsafe or Unsanitary Conditions. 12.4.1 Unit members shall notify a supervisor of unsafe or unsanitary conditions at any District work location. Unless an emergency exists, the supervisor shall submit a written report to the Office of Human Resources. 12.4.2 Employees who continue to be exposed to a work situation that places them in imminent physical danger or significantly endanger their health will report immediately, in person, to the appropriate area administrator. 12.4.3 Supervisors shall promptly investigate any report of unsafe or unsanitary conditions. Upon completion of the investigation, the supervisor shall provide the unit member with written notice. The notice shall include the findings of the investigation. 12.4.4 No reprisal of any kind shall be taken against any unit member as a result of the unit member’s report of unsafe or unsanitary conditions.
