Retention During Layoff. It is agreed between the Parties that seniority during layoffs shall be retained on the following basis: (a) Employees with less than one (1) year's service shall retain their seniority for a period of six (6) months. (b) Employees laid off with one (1) or more years’ service shall retain their seniority for one (1) year, plus one (1) additional month for each year’s service.
