Common use of Retention of Responsibility Clause in Contracts

Retention of Responsibility. The Hospital/Facility agrees that Hospice retains the responsibility for planning, coordinating, prescribing, and documenting Hospice services and care on behalf of the Hospice Patient and the family. The Hospital/Facility agrees that Hospice retains responsibility for ensuring that the training of personnel who will be providing the patient’s care in the inpatient facility has been provided and that a description of the training and the names of those giving the training are documented. This is for appropriate hospice care training of the personnel who provide the care under this Agreement.
