Common use of Rights in Documents and Work Clause in Contracts

Rights in Documents and Work. Any and all reports, photographs, surveys, and other documents provided or created in connection with this Agreement are and shall remain the property of County, and, if a copyright is claimed, Contractor grants to County a nonexclusive license to use the copyrighted item(s) indefinitely, to prepare derivative works, and to make and distribute copies to the public. In the event of termination of this Agreement, any reports, photographs, surveys, and other documents prepared by Contractor, whether finished or unfinished, shall become the property of County and shall be delivered by Contractor to the Contract Administrator within seven (7) days after termination of this Agreement. Any compensation due to Contractor shall be withheld until all documents are received as provided herein. Contractor shall ensure that the requirements of this section are included in all agreements with its Subcontractor(s).
