Common use of Satisfying a Self-Insured Retention (SIR) Clause in Contracts

Satisfying a Self-Insured Retention (SIR). All insurance required by this Agreement must allow, but not require, the State to pay any SIR and/or act as Contractor’s agent in satisfying any SIR. The choice to pay any SIR and/or act as Contractor’s agent in satisfying any SIR is at the State’s discretion. If the State chooses to pay any SIR and/or act as Contractor’s agent in satisfying any SIR, Contractor shall reimburse the State for the same.
