Scheduling During Holiday Weeks. The employer has the right to schedule all staff nurses on in-patient floors to the full budgeted FTE each week, including weeks on which a holiday falls. The employer and union agree to establish an annual opt-out procedure for all staff nurses on in-patient floors and to designated a preference for a day off during one (1) of the weeks in which they are not scheduled to work the holiday, provided operational needs of the University Medical Center permit.
