School officials shall invite law enforcement officials to join school staff in the student discussions organized to observe School Violence Awareness Week, which occurs the week beginning with the third Monday in October of each year, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 18A:36-5.1 andand N.J.A.C. 6A:16-5.2. Upon invitation and as appropriate to the district’s plans, law enforcement officials may assist with the student discussions required during School Violence Awareness Week.
